Cara Lam is a content designer based in New York City. She has spent more than five years in content strategy, writing for fin-tech, travel, crypto, and social media companies. She spends most of her time breaking down complex concepts for everyday people. (For a long time, her goal was to make her grandparents understand what a Bitcoin is). She currently works at Instagram, enhancing the messaging feature and championing localization efforts so that audiences across the globe can enjoy clarity from words on the app.
Cara holds a B.A. degree in Psychology and Ancient Near East Studies from the University of California in Los Angeles. Her work has been published on Gaijinpot, Japan National Tourism Organization, Metropolitan, and WealthRocket. She’s also spoken at many conferences and held workshops for user experience design professionals.
